In the wake of the BP oil spill, we face a major environmental disaster. Hundreds of animals are dead, and even more are in danger. It could take years for affected areas to fully recover.
As cleanup efforts are ongoing, engineers are still trying to work out the best method to control or stop the oil. Countless environmental lessons can be gleaned from this catastrophe, and BP and the nation as a whole will hopefully learn from the mistakes that were made.
While the focus is currently centered on what lessons the spill has taught us about drilling, safety, and the environment, we can also gather a number of lessons about life when we step back and look at the big picture. We have asked contributors to share with us some life lessons they have learned and questions for the general population to reflect on as a result of the oil spill. Read more... I want to show you how to completely change the world… in an instant.

This might be a bit controversial for many, and even more won’t have the stomach to do what I am suggesting…
You can rid the world of all wars, crimes, scandals, gossip, corruption and international conflict.
You have that much power… in the palm of your hand.
Are you ready to change the world (if you dare)?
Hit the ‘OFF’ button.
Turn OFF your TV
Turn OFF your radio
Turn OFF your newspaper subscription
I’ve explained before (video: Media Madness) how watching media that aggregates the most brutal, shocking, heinous and scandalous events of the day can give you a perverted view of the world. Meanwhile millions of beautiful, miraculous, positive and wonderful things happen during the same day that don’t get any attention. It’s incredibly destructive to your spirit and creative potential. Blog editor’s note. This is a good article reminding ourselves that our belief systems are of paramount importance. However as an EFT practitioner (meridian tapping) I do not agree that… “It takes 8-12 weeks to identify and change a core belief and its rules.” Releasing can also occur in minutes, hours, days. And yes sometimes longer. Explore several releasing methods and find one that resonates with you.
Core beliefs are your assumptions about your part in the world. These beliefs you create are called agreements in you that regulate your behavior. Healthy self-esteem gives us the plat form for accepting responsibility for our actions and gaining satisfaction from our achievements. A healthy self-worth is necessary to living an empowered life with positive self-direction.
When we base our actions upon the beliefs that we lack, we trigger those we fear most. The lower our self-esteem drops, the less likely we are to act in a positive more inspiring matter to elevate our self-growth. Read more... (896 words, estimated 3:35 mins reading time)

“Problems in relationships occur because each person is concentrating on what is missing in the other person. “ ~Wayne Dyer
Our love relationships can bring out the child in us. Not just childish behaviors, although they bring out plenty of those too. I’m talking about the real child we once were umpteen years ago when we lived at home with parents and siblings and two cats in the yard. Or whatever your experience happened to be.
If you had a pretty good childhood without too many traumas or disruptions, then you probably got most of your emotional and physical needs met. If it was a more tumultuous upbringing, then you may still carry some of the scars and unmet needs created during your younger years.

Walk to be healthy, walk to be happy
- Charles Dickens
Does walking really make you fit?
I was challenged today that walking does not really make you fit.
So I realized I had to give details to provide credibility to my statement in my report “Revitalize Yourself”. In the report I state that ‘walking was one of the great, simple and easy things to do to improve your life and health’.
One of my subscribers challenged me as he knew that you had to get your heart rate up to 70% or more of maximum to get aerobic fitness. (Thanks Alan- I appreciate your challenge as it gives me the opportunity to support my statements!)
I am talking about getting fit for life, not running a marathon.
The benefits of physical activity depend on, duration, frequency and intensity of exercise. Read more... (657 words, estimated 2:38 mins reading time)

Money Myth 1: “I Can’t Afford It!”
Can’t afford It.” How many times do we repeat this in a day? It has been astutely stated, “possession is nine-tenths of the law.”
It is also the basic tenant of advertising that by repeating something over and over again, it becomes truth.
Let’s face it: 50 years ago, no one needed deodorant. Mankind survived for thousands and thousands of years without it. Suddenly in the past 50 years, deodorant is an absolute necessity in polite culture.
So how did that happen? Repetition creates reality; and using mass communications, repetition created the “deodorant reality” for millions of people. Read more... (569 words, estimated 2:17 mins reading time)

“Sound when stretched is music. Movement when stretched is dance. Mind when stretched is meditation. Life when stretched is celebration.” ~Shri Shri Ravishankar Jee
How much do you want from life? Right now, stop for a moment and think about one word you would use to describe your life today. Got it? If you knew you could open a door that would lead you to an even more fulfilling and extraordinary life, would you open it? What if there was some manageable pain involved?
Well, here’s the good news and the bad news: that door does exist, but almost always, the pain does to.
All growth involves some level of discomfort. But the discomfort is short-lived. The growth is forever. Read more... (1616 words, estimated 6:28 mins reading time)
